GoBike encourage motorcyclists to wear helmets

GoBike Co., Ltd, in collaboration with Huamark Police Station, the commissioned police authority and administration, have pledged their support in unison to the project called “Let’s Cooperate with the Authority on Thai Road Safety Campaign”.

On Saturday, May 24th, 2017, Mr. Pornsak Pitakpoolsin, the Chief Commission overseeing police administration, officiated the project ceremony which was held at the meeting hall of the Bangkok College of Industrial Technology in Huamark, Bangkok.

Mr. Pornsak remarked: “Our aim is to reduce motorcycle accidents, this campaign is aimed towards promoting awareness and discipline of motorbike taxi riders not only for their own safety, but also their passengers as well. To date, GoBike Co., Ltd, has given out 200 helmets to their motorbike taxi riders, known as Go Bikers, as part of their corporate social responsibility program in promoting safety awareness and riders’ well-being”.

The project is endorsed and spearheaded by Mr. Nopparat Nopparitdanuked, the Police Lieutenant Colonel, as it was launched together with all traffic inspectors of the Huamark Police Station, GoBike representatives and motorcycle taxis from Huamark district.

Approximately 150 people turned up in support of the launching of event that day.
Among special guests that turned up to give talks at the event was Mr. Nikorn Jumnong, the Chairman of Thai Safety Club, along with traffic inspectors and a special guest speaker from GoBike Co., Ltd also helped spread the word on road safety awareness, while at the same time encouraged all bikers to be conscious of their safety and wellbeing, especially the need of wearing the standard protective helmets, and also to strictly abide to the traffic laws and regulations in Thailand.
